As the business end of the season approaches, Championship clubs have been busy this week makng use of the loan market to strengthen their squads for the final games of the campaign.

Vital Coventry rounds up the done deals.

Blackpool: Ian Holloway has added Everton defender Seamus Coleman to his play-off chasing squad.

Derby County: The Rams, who have allowed Lee Hendrie to join Brighton & Hove Albion, want to re-sign striker Tommy Smith from Portsmouth.

Leicester City: Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has joined the Foxes until the end of the season.

Plymouth Argyle: Goalkeeper David Stockdale will remain on loan at Home Park from Fulham for a further month.

Preston North End: Sky Blues defender Elliott Ward was on the bench for Tuesday night's game at Middlesbrough after moving to Deepdale for the remainder of the campaign.

Queens Park Rangers: Former Coventry defender Gary Borrowdale has joined Charlton Athletic's League One promotion push.

Scunthorpe United: Defender Jim McNulty has made the step up from League One football after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion to join the Iron.

Sheffield United: The Blades have eased their goalkeeping problems by snapping up Stoke's Steve Simonsen.

Swansea City: Defender David Edgar is looking for first-team football at the Liberty Stadium after making the switch from Burnley.
