'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leicester City 2-2 Coventry City

19 minutes into Coventry City's trip to Leicester on Sunday, the visiting fans and those supporters watching at home on the BBC would have been covering their eyes, fearful of what looked set to be a hammering at the home of the Foxes.

The home side were two goals to the good, albeit their second was given on the advice of an assistant referee who surely could not have spotted conclusively that King's header had crossed.

Slowly, almost unnoticeably at first though the Sky Blues crept back into the game and, in the classic match of two halves, netted twice after the break to earn an unlikely point.

The same assistant referee made another big call when deciding that Freddie Sears was not intefering with play for Gary Deegan's leveller but in the end his two decisions cancelled each other out.

Chris Coleman was visibly delighted with his side's comeback and although the prospect of a play-off place is receeding, City showed they can compete with a very good Leicester side and crucially produced a performance that allows their fans to hold their heads up high at work on Monday.
