'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre-match: Cardiff boss upbeat

An improved performance at Leicester City on Saturday and the return to fitness of Stephen McPhail and Peter Wittingham have cheered Cardiff boss Dave Jones ahead of his side's trip to the Ricoh Arena.

'You've got to have creativity on the pitch - if you haven't got that you won't create any chances,' he said after welcoming back McPhail and Whittingham following injury.

'We can score goals, we know that, but you've got to have people to supply them.'

The Bluebirds know that the Sky Blues could overtake them on Tuesday night but former Coventry defender Jones added: 'The whole squad was happier with itself on Saturday, it's just the result we didn't want.

'But we feel we're coming back to our best and if we can get back to our best then we are a match for anybody.'
