Posh no pushover on home soil

Coventry City travel to bottom club Peterborough on Saturday looking to continue their good recent form.

The Sky Blues have lost 9 of their 17 away games so must be wary going into the game, despite the league positions of the respective clubs.

Peterborough have a fairly respectable home record which reads 5 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats and a repeat of those figures away from home soil would have seen Posh comfortably in mid-table at this stage of the season.

In addition to that they have netted 27 times in their 16 games at London Road and possess dangerous strikers in the shape of Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron McLean who have 7 goals each to their name.

"They have got a couple of decent strikers and there is no secret about that," Chris Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph on Thursday.

"But what we have been doing very well is we always pay the opposition respect and work tactically on them, but we have been sticking to what we do best.'

Fortunately for City perhaps, top scorer George Boyd will not be facing them having joined Nottingham Forest on loan with a view to a permanent move this week.

Everything points to a game of goals similar to the 3-2 Sky Blues win at the Ricoh Arena in December. A similar result this time will ensure a good journey home for the 3,000+ away fans expected to attend on Saturday.
