'If It's Football, It's Vital'

When you're smiling! Coleman chipper as Cov climb

'There is plenty to smile about,' said Chris Coleman after seeing his side display their battling qualities to the full against Queens Park Rangers.

A game that was short on quality football was long on effort as City kept their second clean sheet of the week to close out a 1-0 win over the struggling Londoners.

'I anticipated that it wasn't going to be a classic but we got the job done,' was the manager's verdict.

'We said to them at half-time that it might be one of those games where we just had to dig in and get a result.'

Added to the win against Nottingham Forest and the signing of Freddie Sears it caps a good week to be a Sky Blues fan.

'This win puts us within six points of the top six and eight points off the bottom three so we are on the up,' added Coleman.
