Stead set to be second striker signing?
Coventry City are poised to make Jon Stead their second signing of the week with a loan move from Ipswich Town for the rest of the season in place for the 26-year old.
Having shot to fame after a big-money move from Huddersfield Town to Blackburn Rovers as a youngster, Stead has bounced around a number of clubs in the years that have followed but has always impressed supporters with his willingness to give 100% in every game.
Reports in Suffolk suggest Stead spoke to Chris Coleman on Thursday night to discuss the potential move.
