'If It's Football, It's Vital'

German legend set for Ricoh Arena bow?

Queens Park Rangers arrive in CV6 on Saturday, fully justifying the 'crisis club' label that has been pinned on them in recent weeks.

After another season of managerial turmoil, the R's, currently being led by one-time (literally) Sky Blues striker Mick Harford, are just two points above the relegation zone after some poor results and even worse performances in recent weeks.

Harford pulled no punches when interviewed after Tuesday night's home defeat by Ipswich Town, saying: 'For a professional club, that first-half performance was not acceptable.

'It was totally inept, lacking everything (including) effort and commitment.'

Whether Harford will be in charge in the Ricoh Arena's visiting dug-out this weekend remains to be seen as yet another potential new manager is reportedly in the frame to take over.

Lothar Matthaus, a legendary figure in German football from his playing days but someone who has enjoyed a chequered career since as a coach, was spotted watching the Ipswich game in the company of the QPR hierarchy and may be the latest to try and fulfill the ambitions of the club's board of directors.

Yes we're in a crisis, and no he won't be replaced before the weekend. Those players at last showed a bit of bottle in the second half on Tuesday and if they continue that this weekend we'll pull away from this mess.
