City can't wait to reach 40!

Coventry City face two home games in the space of a few days this week when they entertain Nottingham Forest and then Queens Park Rangers at the Ricoh Arena.

The increasingly competitive nature of the Championship was highlighted again at the weekend when Reading, who occupy the final relegation place at present, won at Doncaster to move them onto 29 points, just 5 behind the Sky Blues and within 2 wins of the entire bottom half of the division.

That makes getting on to 40 points intially a milestone City want to reach sooner rather than later and although they have picked up draws in their last 3 outings, it is wins that move you up the table and away from the trapdoor.

Forest arrive at the Ricoh Arena in flying form of course but although they were unbeaten away from home prior to defeat at Derby recently, Billy Davies' side have actually only won 4 of their 14 games on the road, often employing a more defensive system than at the City Ground, where they were 2-0 winners over the Sky Blues just after Christmas.
