Window Watch: Leon Barnett

Window Watch: Leon Barnett

A round-up of the players linked with moves to or from Coventry City during the transfer window.

24-year-old central defender Leon Barnett impressed Chris Coleman from the minute he signed for the Sky Blues on loan from West Brom and spent much of January hoping for a permanent deal at the Ricoh Arena.

Physically imposing but occasionally cutting an ungainly figure at the back, Barnett was a big-money buy by the Baggies but had fallen out of favour at The Hawthorns.

Sheffield United were linked with a late move for his services but Barnett ended the month by extending his loan stay at the Ricoh until the end of the season.
