'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coleman: 'better result for us'

Chris Coleman saw his Coventry City side add another good FA Cup performance to go with last season's run to the last eight and was happy enough at holding Premier League Portsmouth to a draw.

'It is a better result for us than Portsmouth - obviously with their situation,' said the Welshman after what he admitted was a 'fair' result at Fratton Park.

Off-field problems as well as a failure to beat Championship opposition saw Pompey fans angry at the final whistle.

Boss Avram Grant was sympathetic, saying: 'I'm very impressed with the supporters.

'They were behind us for the whole game and it's not an easy time for us.

'I respect them. I understand why they are frustrated but you must understand that no one at the club is happy with the situation.'

The two sides will now meet again next week at the Ricoh Arena for a place in the 4th Round.
