Posh boss rues defensive lapses

Posh boss rues defensive lapses

Mark Cooper saw his Peterborough United side play their part to the full in an exciting clash at the Ricoh Arena but was left to rue Freddy Eastwood's hat-trick of goals, all of which came from Coventry City set-pieces.

'It is people not doing their jobs - individual errors,' he said afterwards.

'Everybody has a man to mark and if you're marking that man and he scores a hat-trick then it is your fault I'm afraid.'

Posh certainly did not look like a team at the wrong end of the table and Copper added: 'We are seven points adrift but we're not giving up.

'We will keep going. We're far from the worst team in the league.'
