'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Back to basics for Sky Blues

Having gifted their opponents early goals in three of their last four Championship games, Coventry City's priorities are clear for Friday night's trip to Pride Park for a televised clash.

Keeping things sound at the back will at least give the Sky Blues a fighting chance of returning home with at least a point from a game against another side short of confidence at present after some disappointing results.

To that end, new central defensive loanee Leon Barnett will make an immediate debut after joining from West Bromwich Albion on a deal until January.

Who partners him at the back depends on injury and illness problems currently afflicting the likes of Stephen Wright and Ben Turner who are both set to miss out.

Chris Coleman has similar worries over his midfield although at least the return of Leon Best to full fitness and Freddy Eastwood's improving confidence after his goal last week gives the manager some options further forward.
