With Derby County now looking like the likely destination for Wolves striker Sam Vokes, Coventry City's attempts to land another forward on loan have hit a snag.
The unnamed frontman is keen on a move to the Ricoh Arena according to Chris Coleman but agreeing wages with his parent club has proved a problem.
Another name in the frame for a switch to CV6 is AFC Wimbledon's promising young, left-sided defender Chris Hussey, with a loan move followed by a permanent deal in January on the cards.
Dons boss Terry Brown has confirmed that talks are taking place between the two clubs.
