No Vokes but Walcott is Cov-bound
Coventry City have begun to look elsewhere in their search for loan signings after failing to come to a mutual agreement with Wolves over the terms of a deal for striker Sam Vokes.
The Premier League club were reportedly keen for any loan deal to be for the whole season but with an instant recall option if needed.
The Sky Blues priorities look to changed as well in recent weeks with strikers Clinton Morrison and Leon Best scoring regularly and midfield lynchpin Sammy Clingan out of action for the next month-and-a-half although Coleman inists it is still up front that he is keen to strengthen, quoted by the Coventry Telegraph as wanting 'a couple of experienced boys' to supplement a youthful squad.
One player who will be at the Ryton training ground this week and then at the Ricoh Arena on Friday night but who unfortunately won't be signing, is Arsenal and England star Theo Walcott.
He will continue his comeback from injury with a run-out for Stuart Pearce's Under-21's in their European Championship qualifier against Macedonia.
