'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Under-21 boss Pearce looks for Ricoh boost

Coventry City play host to the England Under-21 team on Friday night as they entertain Macedonia in a 2011 UEFA European Championship Qualifier.

Current loanee Jack Cork is part of Stuart Pearce's squad together with West Ham striker Zavon Hines, who made 7 substitute appearances for the Sky Blues in 2008.

'We have to make sure we capitalise on the game at home,' Under-21 boss and former City star Stuart Pearce told the official FA Website.

'If we want to be serious contenders in getting out of the group, we know we have to go at them and get all three points.'

Elsewhere in international week, Sammy Clingan will be a doubt for Northern Ireland after limping out of the game against Leicester while Leon Best and Kieren Westwood could be heading for South Africa if results go the way of the Republic of Ireland.
