Following a fantastic response from 'fans united' on the Vital Football network, Wrexham fans would be extremely grateful for your ongoing support to HELP! them reach their target of 10,500 names and to Protect The Racecourse Ground in the Local Development Plan, to protect its use for football and sports, for our future generations. Ten thousand five hundred names, equates to the current reduced capacity of the ground, while the last remaining 5,000 plus Kop terracing in British football, has been closed down for the student housing development.
The petition currently totals 7,349 and has seen support from more than 30 clubs from across the UK and abroad. From Brighton to Grampus Eight in Tokyo.

Why should other fans care ? Well this situation is embryonic and effects the wider football community and the need to preserve our football heritage. Visiting fans are of course just as important as home fans to create a Vital atmosphere and these cherished football stadiums, deserve to be protected as a vital part of the community in both economy and spirit. Empathy and social history is not often commonly found amongst property developers. The Racecourse proudly holds the unique title of being The Oldest International Football Stadium In the World, still in use today.
Thanks for your much valued support and to preserving the heart and soul of traditional football.
The Protect The Racecourse team.
