'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coleman praises 'fantastic' fans

Admitting that his Coventry City side deserved to be booed off at half-time against Middlesbrough, Chris Coleman was pleased with the backing that his players received as they battled back from 2-0 down to claim a late, late point.

Although the Ricoh Arena was again barely half-full for the visit of the promotion favourites from Teesside, Sky Blues fans played their part in encouraging the team.

'The fans were fantastic in the second half,' Coleman told the official CCFC website.

'They really got behind us.'

The stay-away fans may be waiting for City to push for a play-off place before venturing back to CV6 but this season's 5 home league games have produced 15 goals, only 1 defeat for the Sky Blues and a host of committed performances from both the home team and their respective visitors.

Good backing, helped by the team coming out for the 2nd half and having a good go at it - that's all we ask

how did our young lads do folks?

Cork was excellent, never stopped for the 90 minutes. Van Aanholt is just coming back from injury, he'll probably start on Tuesday night
