Strike duo deserve Sky Blue praise

Strike duo deserve Sky Blue praise

Coventry City were thankful once again to their in-form strike partnership on Saturday, goals from Clinton Morrison and Leon Best earning them a comeback point against Middlesbrough.

In a side that has struggled at times to create decent chances, and with very little in the way of competition for places up front (until the arrival of a loan striker, next week in the case of Sam Vokes it seems), Morrison and Best have battled hard in every game and often created chances out of nothing for each other.

Their link-up for the first goal on Saturday showed the growing understanding between the pair, who now have 10 league goals between them this season.

That total represents all but 2 of City's tally in the Championship and a few more from elsewhere would come in very handy indeed.
