City land Vokes to ease striker burden
Sam Vokes is the man Coventry City have turned to in order to boost their squad and maintain a top-half position in the Championship, with the young Wolves striker poised to join on loan in time for the Middlesbrough game this weekend.
While admitting that Wales international Vokes will be short of match fitness at first, Chris Coleman sees him as the ideal player to add a fresh option up front, where Clinton Morrison and Leon Best have battled manfully all season.
'The kid we are talking about, there have been a lot of clubs in for him but he wants to come here, so that's another feather in our cap,' Coleman told the Coventry Telegraph.
