City striker fears free agent status
Coventry City striker Leon McKenzie has just one potential chance left to convince the club that his short-term contract, which expires at the end of the month, is worth extending.
The Sky Blues handed McKenzie a deal to the end of August after he sustained a serious injury last season but the player himself knows that football's financial climate may count against him in the next few days.
'I know the gaffer has been behind me but the decision isn't down to him, it's the chairman and the other people at the club,' he told the Evening Telegraph.
'I believe that I've still got a lot to offer but those things are out of my hands.'
Often employed as a left-winger during his time with the club, McKenzie has netted 12 league goals for City since his move from Norwich in 2006.
