Defender on his way

22 year old England under 21 defender Martin Cranie is today at the Ricoh under going a medical with a view to moving from Portsmouth to the Sky Blues.

The club's have agreed an undisclosed fee and Chis Coleman hopes to conclude the deal tonight which would make Cranie available for Saturday's trip to Barnsley.

"22 year old England under 21 defender ".. good job we know what you need .. whatever the fee (1-2m will a sell on clause I reckon) you have got yourself a decent defender .. The jury was out at Fratton park as to whether he would cut it in the premiership but you've got a guy who works hard and still has time to develop.. I think you'll grow to value him..

Yep, agree with all Chix says. He needs a decent run outside of the premiership to blossom, so I think you've got a right good 'un there. Perhaps we'll buy him back in a couple of years :)
