City to lose Fox by 11pm on Thursday?

Reports in Glasgow on Thursday evening suggest that Celtic are involved in a race against the clock to sign Coventry City left-back Daniel Fox.

The SPL side want the highly-rated England Under-21 international on board before 11pm, the deadline for new signings to be eligible to play in the Champions League 3rd Round qualifiers.

Latest reports are that Fox is undergoing a medical at Celtic Park and discussing personal terms.

The Sky Blues would then have sold two of their four 'untouchables' without so far making any new signings this summer. Hardly a recipe for a promotion challenge you would think and unless next week sees a Nottingham Forest style signing spree, the mood amongst fans is likely to turn against the club hierarchy.
