No station at the Ricoh

After much trumpeting by our elected officials that a station would be fast tracked to be built within 18 months next to the Ricoh stadium it is a shame to say that this is now not going to happen.

The unelected officials at the Department of Transport have now down graded the project so we are going to have to wait for at least four more years before we can use the train as another option to get to and from the stadium.

It is another missed opportunity by the planners to help with the continued re-generation of the north of Coventry and you have to wonder whether the building of the station and the improvements to the service on the Coventry to Nuneaton line will ever happen.

another disappointment for the fans

An absolute disgrace, as a travelling fan I'm glad it's only once a year, because you either have to get there at silly o'clock to street park, or get a taxi across town from the station. I feel for you guys I really do, nothing quite like being ripped from your home and dumped in a soulless bowl.
