Pre-season: Ambitious Wrexham first up for City

Coventry City play their first pre-season friendly at the weekend when they take on Blue Square Premier side Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground.

After some turbulent years on and off the field, Wrexham are looking upwards under the management of former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Dean Saunders.

Quoted in the Daily Post after starting his side's preparations for the new campaign, Saunders said: 'We want to get out of the league, I want to get out of the league, and all the players have come in for one thing only and that is to get out of this league.'
