Luton boss: Macca form no surprise

Luton boss: Macca form no surprise

Two sides with nothing but pride to play for meet on Saturday but Luton Town and the Sky Blues still look capable of serving up an entertaining clash given the attacking players on show.

Steve Howard and Gary McSheffrey are both among the top scorers in the Championship with 14 goals each.

For McSheffrey it is a return to a club where he had two loan spells while out of favour at City and made a big impression on Hatters fans, as shown by their generous applause for him when the two sides met at the Ricoh Arena.

Luton manager Mike Newell told his club's website: 'We always felt Gary had great potential.

'We made no secret that we tried to get him here permanently, and he did really well for us during both loan spells, particularly the first one.

'I think he wants to prove himself at Coventry, which he has certainly done.'
