Championship 2009/10: Blackpool

Recent clashes: City have just about had the better of the four meetings between the clubs since Blackpool's return to the Championship, winning both games at the Ricoh Arena and drawing once at Bloomfield Road.

The Seasiders did hand out a 4-0 spanking to the Sky Blues in December 2007 however.

Former Sky Blues: Claus Jorgensen has been freed by new manager Ian Holloway after three popular years with the club.

Coventry-born Ian Evatt and Daniel Nardiello remain on the books at the time of writing although Nardiello's future is the subject of speculation after he ended last season out on loan.

Summer talking point: Speculation over who would be the new manager at Bloomfield Road would be was ended Holloway landed the job ahead of caretaker boss Tony Parkes.

Coming to Coventry: At the end of January
