'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sky Blues latest

Coventry City's final pre-season fixture will take place against Everton and is scheduled for Sunday 2 August at 12:30pm.

The game will act as a testimonial for Sky Blues defender Marcus Hall, now in his second spell with the club.

Also kicking off at 12:30pm will be the league clash against Leicester City on Saturday 3 October, with police advice being taken into account for the scheduling of that one.

'Don't panic' is the message emanating from the Ricoh Arena meanwhile with no new signings as yet and both Scott Dann and Robbie Simpson sold.

'We have spoken to all the clubs and parties involved and we are just waiting for things to fall into place,' chairman Ray Ranson told the Coventry Telegraph.

'These things take time but I am confident we will have three or four bodies through the door soon.

'The players have not even started back for pre-season training yet, so we are certainly not worried.

'It is an ongoing situation and we are in negotiations with a number of clubs regarding players we would like to bring to Coventry City.'
