Coventry City transfer talk: Week 8

Click here to read last week's transfer talk.

Coventry City raked in some more cash this week when allowing striker Robbie Simpson to join Huddersfield Town, for a fee thought to be in the region of £350,000.

Huddersfield boss Lee Clark told the official Town website: 'I'm absolutely thrilled to have Robbie Simpson moving to the club.

'He is a young, hungry player who wants to get better and that is exactly what I want.'

That still leaves supporters waiting for a bit of incoming business at the Ricoh Arena and they will have read with interest comments from a 'source' close to Jermaine Beckford stating that the Leeds striker would be keen on a move to the Ricoh Arena.

Sheffield Wednesday meanwhile have joined the race to sign Sammy Clingan from Norwich and apart from that it's all quiet on the transfer front!
