Dann deal: Now who will City sign?

Coventry City captain Scott Dann has agreed a move to Premier League newcomers Birmingham City for a fee variously reported as somewhere between £3.5m and £4m.

Seen as one of the four 'untouchables' at the club, will Dann's departure have the same impact on fans as if Danny Fox, Aron Gunnarsson or Kieren Westwood had been sold?

City already have good options at centre-half and the fee is likely to be spent on new players over the summer, although selling your skipper is not always great PR at a time when no new signings have been made.

Set to come in is Norwich City midfielder Sammy Clingan in a cash plus player deal which will see Robbie Simpson move to Carrow Road.

Clingan is well-liked by Canaries fans and despite their relegation last season the Northern Ireland international came out with his reputation enhanced by his displays.

Of the four untochables Scott Dann is the one player I am not unhappy to see go-for me he was inconsistent.
