Transfers: City ready to play waiting game
Coventry City are now playing the waiting game on their top summer transfer targets as the football world gets ready for its summer holidays.
Sky Blues chairman Ray Ranson told the Coventry Telegraph: 'We are on the case.
'Chris (Coleman) and our chief scout Andy Thorn have done all their homework and know which positions they want to strengthen and exactly what players they want to fill them.'
Jermaine Beckford has been the main name in the frame in recent days and Ranson added: 'We have spoken to all the clubs, agents and relevant parties and are now sitting tight waiting for things to happen, although not a lot is going to happen now because it is still very early in the close season.'
