Coventry City transfer talk: Week 4

A definite step up in the quality of rumour surrounding the Sky Blues this week.

Sunday saw reported interest in Jermaine Beckford of Leeds United while Tuesday saw two more strikers linked with the Sky Blues.

Bristol Rovers hotshot Rickie Lambert is thought to be on Chris Coleman's shopping list and another name for the hat appears to be DJ Campbell, contracted to Leicester but impressive on loan at Blackpool in the latter part of last season.

Quoted in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Beckford's agent, Nick Rubery said: 'He's got a year left on his contract and he needs to know where he stands.

'I don't know what Leeds are thinking with regards to their future plans and what part he might play in them, but it's something I need to clarify.'
