Coventry City transfer talk: Week 3

Coventry City transfer talk: Week 3

Another week of speculation surrounding the Sky Blues but with Premier League clubs yet to finish their season and the play-offs approaching a climax, the real business of the transfer window will not start until the end of the month.

Names in the frame this week include former star Gary McSheffrey, likely to leave Birmingham City after their promotion to the top-flight and a possible alternative to £2m-valued Hearts winger Andy Driver.

Talk of a move for Driver's team-mate, midfield schemer Bruno Aguiar looks to be wide of the mark meanwhile.

More likely could be a move for Scunthorpe goalkeeper Joe Murphy, with much depending on the Iron's promotion bid.

Reports in India also linked striker Sunil Chhetri with a second trial at the Ricoh Arena.

As for the exit door, Robbie Simpson is a possible target for Huddersfield but Leicester City's interest in Aron Gunnarsson is unlikely to be given much shrift by the City decision-makers.
