Kyle keeps Killie afloat

Kevin Kyle endured a miserable spell at Coventry City but has revived his career with a move back to Scotland and was again the hero on Wednesday night as Kilmarnock defeated St Mirren thanks to his double, a win that should keep the Rugby Park side in the SPL.

'When you have confidence as a striker then it's a major thing,' he said.

'I've been through the other side and it's horrible. When you're not scoring goals, not doing your job and getting stick from the fans, it's not great.

'However, once the fans start singing your name that's why you want to be here.'
