Keane, Shearer & Southgate @ The Ricoh?

The Championship could be set for more media attention than ever before next season with the BBC set to show highlights and live games and the presence of some big names in the division.

Roy Keane will be expected to mount a promotion push at the first time of asking with Ipswich while his old adversary Alan Shearer could decide to become the permanent manager of Newcastle United in the summer, even if they are relegated from the top-flight.

Middlesbrough too are in danger at the foot of the Premier League but have indicated that they will stick with Gareth Southgate as boss.

Add to the mix a whole host of ambitious clubs and chairmen (the Sky Blues included) and talk of a Premier League II and it adds up to an even tougher league to get out of than ever before.
