Celtic to arrive as SPL champions

Gordon Strachan brings his Celtic side to the Ricoh Arena for Richard Shaw's testimonial next Tuesday as champions of Scotland after Wednesday night's win over Hearts.

The former Coventry boss has recovered from a nightmare start to his reign to steer Celtic to the title before the split in SPL fixtures that sees the top six play against each other in the final few games.

Ex-City players Paul Telfer and John Hartson will definitely get league winner's medals while Dion Dublin needs to make a few more appearances to claim his.

A healthy crowd is expected for the game, to mark Shaw's 10 season with the Sky Blues.

Celtic are much in demand for testimonials as they are guaranteed to bring a large support with them.

Their game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on May 9 is likely to break the record for the largest away following at a game in Britain, with Celtic set to bring 25,000+ fans down for Roy Keane's testimonial.
