Celtic still keen on me says City star

Aron Gunnarsson is set to be watched closely at Hampden Park on Wednesday, if he gets the nod to play for Iceland against Scotland.

According to quotes attributed to the young midfielder, he is wanted on a permanent basis in Glasgow by SPL champions Celtic.

Celtic are a big team with a fantastic support and are regularly in the Champions League,' Gunarsson told the Daily Record while away on international duty.

'That makes them an attractive proposition for any player. I'm young and have plenty of time to think about it.

'I hope to play at Hampden and if I play well I don't think that would do my chances of moving to Celtic any harm.'
