'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Preston boss pleased with fightback

'We showed great character to come back and we've done that a lot of times this season,' was Preston manager Alan Irvine's verdict on Saturday's win over Coventry City at Deepdale.

The Sky Blues went in front thanks to Clinton Morrison's goal but ended up pointless after a fightback from the home side.

Irvine added: 'The lads' heads could have gone because we missed chances but they kept going and have done that many times this season.'

Opposite number Chris Coleman was less than happy with his side, blaming individual errors for the defeat.
