'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackwell hails 'bloody-minded' Blades

Kevin Blackwell was full of praise for the way his Sheffield United continued their excellent away form with a win at the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday night.

'It is an important win, but they are all important wins at this stage of the season with the position we are in,' he said, after the Blades set a new club record for results on the road.

'Coming to the form team in the division we knew it was going to be tough, but my lads rolled their sleeves up when they needed to.

'We have been consistent, we have had just two league defeats in 18 games.

'It is about grinding results out in this league because it is the hardest league to get out of. It is so tough and anybody can beat anybody, as we have seen.

'Coventry have been playing well and I think some people will have looked at this and thought it would be a banana skin for us.

'If we hadn't have been as bloody-minded as we were it could well have been.'

the blades will get promoted to the promised land after their luck last night, but make sure you take the referee and linesman with you and also make your first signing-Carlos Tevez.

That result against the Blades was a body blow to your play-off hopes. Even with a good finish i can see you just missing out.
