'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Midfield starlet offered new deal

The young midfielder has become a regular feature in Coventry City's first-team squad this season, notching up 13 appearances to date and impressing with his all-action displays.

Sky Blues boss Micky Adams has also offered new contracts to Andrew Gooding, Liam Davis, Ryan Lynch and Ben Turner while releasing ten senior academy players.

Adams said: 'We have made a number of lads offers to stay on and they have not got back to us yet.

'They have obviously got agents who will want to thrash out a deal for them, even at that age, and I am not aware that any have accepted anything yet.

'I would hope that they would want to stay because they have seen people like Kevin in and around the fringes of the first team this season so it is a great opportunity to stay at a football club that wants to promote youth to some degree.'

Adams' decision to cull 10 players is short sighted and extremely poor. The board should have stopped him from setting this club back by 8 years.
