'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blues boss in upbeat mood

Birmingham City have stuttered in the race for promotion from the Championship but manager Alex McLeish feels his side could be about to hit form at just the right time.

Ahead of the trip to Coventry he told the Evening Mail: "I think there`s a better balance about the team just now than there was earlier in the season and I would like to think that we can go on a sustained run."

The Scot added: "There`s something about this squad of players that gives me great belief.

"I think they have handled the pressure already and I think some players in our squad haven`t reached their true level, and I see signs of that also."
