Referee's blushes spared says Sky Blues boss

Referee Michael Oliver would have been at fault for Coventry City dropping two points against leaders Wolves on Saturday, according to Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman.

A last-gasp penalty award to the visitors brought them the chance of a draw, only for Kieren Westwood to save from the spot.

'Had we drawn the game it wouldn't have been my players' fault it would have been the referee's because it's not a penalty,' said Coleman, incensed at the call to penalise Ben Turner for an alleged foul.

'I have seen it again and I don't know how he can give it because he is behind a crowd of players.

'Luckily for us Keiren saved the penalty. He's a quality keeper. He's only young and he is part of what we are trying to build here.'
