Inconsistency summed up October for Coventry City, who started the month in fine style with a 4-1 home hammering of Southampton.

A good performance at Wolves brought only despair for Chris Coleman after a controversial winning goal for the home side.

Three days later, Burnley impressed with a 3-1 win at the Ricoh Arena and the following Saturday Derby County looked likely to take away three points as well.

Clinton Morrison netted late on however and repeated the feat at Southampton the following Tuesday.
