Half-time blast sparks Sky Blues revival
Coventry City turned around a half-time deficit to defeat Blackpool on Saturday, with two well-taken goals at the beginning of the second period earning them a slightly lucky win.
'It was a dreadful first half for us,' admitted Chris Coleman afterwards.
'It was a grey, windy day and I think some of the players thought it didn't matter because we'd only lost one in eight before this game.
'So we had to explain to them at half-time in no uncertain terms that it wasn't all OK.'
Winning the game when not playing well, and with a patched-up side to boot, bodes well for City however and they now lie closer to the play-off places than the drop zone in the Championship.
'Our keeper did not have any saves to make apart from the two goals and I know their manager has admitted they were lucky,' was how Blackpool caretaker boss Tony Parkes saw the game.
'On another day DJ Campbell could have had three goals. He's bright and he leads the line well.'
