'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coleman confirms loan intentions

Another battling awayday display from Coventry City saw them gain a point at QPR despite being reduced to ten men.

Stephen Wright's sending off and Leon Best's suspected broken cheekbone however have further stretched Chris Coleman's resources.

'Thankfully the transfer window is open and I do want to bring in one or two loans,' confirmed the Sky Blues' boss, who also said he would not appeal against Wright's dismissal.

'There is money available, but we're choosy.

'We signed players in the summer and, like a lot of clubs, we'll look mainly at loan signings.'

Opposite number Paulo Sousa saw his side frustrated by a strong rearguard action and commented afterwards: 'We changed our shape and played without training very much because the weather gave us few opportunities.

'When this happens it is better to keep playing the way we were before, so I take responsibility for this.

'We looked for a winger and when Wayne Routledge came, we wanted to be more open and play with more width.

'When you change things it doesn't just click but the positive thing is that we are building and it's coming.'
