Interest high & low in Coventry players

Interest high & low in Coventry players

The latest Coventry City player to attract interest from the top-flight and elsewhere is Aron Gunnarsson, with Celtic, Everton and Stoke City keen on the player, according to the player himself.

The Iceland international not only has the stature of someone much older than 19, also comes across as level-headed when he talks
to the press.

'Celtic, Everton and Stoke City are all interested, but I really don't see the point in leaving Coventry,' he has been quoted as saying.

'I am still young and I get to play a lot here. That's what counts.'

If the quality of a squad is judged by who want their players, then the signings made since first Ray Ranson, and then Chris Coleman came to the club are quality indeed.

Gunnarsson joins Dan Fox and Kieren Westwood in being linked with a Premier League move this January.

Slightly lower down the scale, Kevin Kyle is wanted by Danny Wilson, the man who took him to Hartlepool on loan recently but who is now in charge of fellow League One club Swindon Town.
