Sky Blue 2008 - March

Sky Blue 2008 - March

Less than impressed by a 2-1 defeat at Scunthorpe on the opening day of March, Chris Coleman sent for reinforcements to keep Coventry City in the Championship.

Three loan signings were drafted in during the month, the most high profile being goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel from Manchester City.

'Kasper has shown this season that he has all the attributes to be a top class Premier League goalkeeper and I have no doubt he will be a very valuable addition to the squad,' said Coleman.

'He has great ability and strength, plus he has age on his side. The future is certainly bright for him.'

Vital home wins against Norwich and Plymouth kept the Sky Blues' heads above water but it was still set to be a battle to the end to avoid the drop.
