'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Transfer Advent Calendar: Donovan Simmonds

The transfer window opens in 11 days and Vital Coventry is bringing you a new rumour everyday concerning Sky Blues past and present or potential new signings.

21st December: Young Coventry City striker Donovan Simmonds is enjoying his first taste of regular first-team football and looks set to stay with SPL side Kilmarnock for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old, who has yet to make a senior Sky Blues apperance, has played 14 times in the league for Killie this season.

'Donovan will have a hernia op next month,' Rugby Park boss Jim Jefferies told the Sunday Mail newspaper.

'But he wants to stay and Coventry are happy for us to have him until at least the end of the season.

'We're also close to tying up another loan signing with SPL experience. We need more options up front.'
