Transfer Advent Calendar 19th Dec: Kevin Kyle

The transfer window opens in 13 days and Vital Coventry is bringing you a new rumour everyday concerning Sky Blues past and present or potential new signings.

19th December: Kevin Kyle is approaching the end of a loan spell at Hartlepool where his goals have not been enough to save manager Danny Wilson from the sack.

A return to the Ricoh Arena is on the cards in January but only for the striker to look at the clubs interested in signing him for the second half of the season, with Chris Coleman making it clear this week he had no plans to use the player.

A loan spell to take Kyle up to the end of his contract looks the most likely, although former Sky Blues number two Adrian Heath, now coaching in the USA, has touted him for a move to Major League Soccer.

'Adrian Heath said one of the teams is looking for a big 6ft 3in Scotsman so he asked me whether I would like to come out there,' said Kyle, quoted in the Hartlepool Mail.

'It is interesting stuff and their season is different to ours but I have got a little boy and over the time I have been thinking about it, it's a difficult decision.'
