Sunday's Sky Blue gossip

Two players linked with Coventry City in recent months look to be staying put and moving elsewhere respectively according to Sunday's newspapers.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws, having signed a new contract of his own, is keen to keep captain Richard Wood at Hillsborough for the long-term.

Wood handed in a transfer request earlier in the season after City's interest became known but now looks happy to remain in South Yorkshire.

Walsall's Anthony Gerrard meanwhile is a target for Southampton.

The versatile Saddler had been tipped to follow Daniel Fox and Scott Dann from the Bescot Stadium to the Ricoh Arena.
