'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blues strengthen ahead of Coventry clash

Bolton Wanderers right-back Nicky Hunt looks set to play against Coventry City on Monday night after signing on loan for Birmingham City.

Manager Alex McLeish may opt to play the experienced Premier League man ahead of youngster Jared Wilson, with Stuart Parnaby out injured.

He told his official club website: 'Bringing in Nicky is certainly no discredit to Jared Wilson, who is a very good young player.

'But to blood a youngster by asking them to play week in, week out and then say 'We have got to get back into the Premier League' is a lot to ask.'

Former Sky Blue Lee Carsley meanwhile is making a big impact at St Andrew's and BBC Sport blogger Paul Fletcher believes he is the Championship's most effective player.

Cracking deal for them, wish we (QPR) could sign someone of that calibre.
